Anybody have a photo of Edwards Pontiac in Canton Ohio from the '50's or '60s? A friend of mine's Dad owned it and I'd like to print a photo for her..

I do not think so.. Just the Ohio location.. I read a story that he raced a Ram Air car in '68 with his dealership as a sponsor..

Sorry guys, I went down to my library to dig out what I thought was some pictures of this Olds 442 racing in Detroit back in 65. It turns out the dealership name was Edmond's Oldsmobile. The reason this all kind of ties in with Pontiac and is a puzzle to me is: Frank Rediker who created the Royal Bobcat treatment has his name and other mechanic's on the front of the Royal cars from 1959-1963. The picture I have of this award winning 65 Olds 442 has Rediker and W, Brown's name on it's fenders. There is a lot of praise in Wangers book about Rediker, but after 63 the story goes cold. Wangers book does mention that when Rediker was doing all this Royal prep. work he worked at a Olds dealer full time. Wondering if that dealer is Edmond's Oldsmobile? Wondering why the disconnect with Royal?

I think it was the other way around (he worked at Royal but was an Oldsmobile enthusiast at heart).

In either case his son Frank Jr. picked up his love for Oldsmobile as well. Frank Jr. is still living and works for GM Powertrain in Pontiac Michigan.

I can't speak for Rediker but these deals tend to sour after a while. Mr Wangers was not the easiest guy to work for back in the day.
