I don't need much work done. So I'd prefer to stay local.

I bought a fresh never fired 400, +.040 TRW flattop forged, balanced with stock recon rods w/ARP bolts, from someone needing money. I really just want to make sure it's put together right (pistons on rods correctly), etc... The pistons are currently .015 down in the hole. So I plan to disassemble the shortblock, get it decked/squared, grind out the flashing, change the oil gallery pressed plugs to tapped, with the one drilled for the distributor. I guess the minimal work I want done now any shop can do. But I'd like to find one that cares. Has good customer service etc....
