A cul-de-sac or random cemetery would be fine.

Thanks guys!! Very excited! Really feel like it was the buy of the sale. Everybody tells me that Barrett isn't the place to sell pontiacs and would have to agree! Plan on when getting it home and go threw the mechanicals and make sure everything is good! Wow that is crazy if this is the car!

The car doesn't have a console in it but the build sheet claims it came with one.

Nicely equipped! I've got several nice black 4spd consoles if you need one.

I just might have to take you up on that! I don't know what it is with me having cars with no tach! Just sold a 68 z28 302/m22/4.88 gears with no tach either.

I'm hit or miss with factory tacos too. My 69 RA IV has a hood tach and my 70 doesn't have any and it has the 4:33 rear too.
Can't imagine who orders these RAIV cars and leaves off the tach?

Looks like you got a great deal! Hope this isn't a trend in RA IV values!

I saw that one and thought it was very well bought! Congrats on the buy.
I have a Voodoo Green RAIV 4spd car also, probably will restore it Green also but having my doubts after the low hammer on this one. |

I parted my Voodoo Green RA IV/Auto 69 after I saw what you could buy one for done. A twin to mine in Quebec has been for sale for ages for less than $50K. The tags look good on my wall.

That's a smokin deal on a great car! Just strap a vintage Sun tach on the steering column and have some fun with it.

It seems the BJ crowd doesn't like Pontiacs unless they are the big boats from the 40's or 50's. Good place to buy a GTO on the cheap. Congrates

The 69 RAIV looks to be great car - Congrates.
When I first saw the BJ list of cars, I thought the same thing that it may be the car out of Florida. If it is that one and interested in a little history, the car came up for auction in 2005 by an internet company GovAssets4sale.com. Was supposedly seized by Miami Dade Police due to drugs. One side note just so you know – When I looked at the BJ site, it had the vin code listed as 242379P338899. I checked Flordia DMV to see if that was the car from 2005. The DMV web site stated that the vin entered was flagged and Florida still has possession of the title? If that is your vin, you may want to check on that.

Milt Schornack told me that GM fought the availability of that option tooth and nail...for that very reason.

guage packs were @ a $35 option or so back then...and nobody trusted the factory "junk" and installed Sun or SW guages in any serious performance car. This usually went for Tachs as well as guages. Just my understanding of how it was. My '64 Tri-Power four speed is a "Day Two" resto and although it has a faxtory in dash tach,it also has a Sun Super Tach on the steering column.

Strangely, for 1967-68, I think Firebird Ram Airs had 3.90s - I wonder why? |
