First off. Great power, very impressive! Question on the headers. I think you meant 2 1/4 dia to 2 3/8 dia. Did you try any different size headers on the dyno though?

Yes 2 1/4 dia. to 2 3/8 dia. with 4" collector. We did not try any other headers, maybe 12 hp is hiding there. I asked Tony if one of his BOP intakes and 4 barrel carb could make more power, his first reaction was no and then he said with major work on the carb and cutting the manifold to get the runners right it may make a little more power.

Great combination of parts and matching of the parts vs displacement.

14.5 compression
1075.5 hp @7900 rpm
763.0 ft/lb trq @ 7100 rpm

With this combination (473 cubic inches, 3070 lbs) we qualified with a 8.491 et at 158.09 mph at Tom's Heads up race at Norwalk in 2015. Still not as fast as Picket's wagon. So was wondering if you guys have an opinion on the improvements I can gain with the following changes:

Dry sump
New custom built headers
Sheet metal intake
Seal hood scoop to the carburetor (Ram Air)

Thanks for the help

Probably mis-typed?

What is the compression ratio?
Also what RPM range or peak HP?

That's some stout numbers already!

Thanks for the corrections, Glenn.
That's what I had guessed but wanted to make sure.

Here is Pipe Max data on the headers:

Quote:
--- Single Primary Pipe Specs --- ( Mid-Range TQ to Higher RPM Horsepower )
Diameter= 2.217 to 2.342 Total Length= 23.5 to 25.9 inches long
--- 2-Step Primary Pipe Specs --- ( Mid-Range TQ to Higher RPM Horsepower )
1st Step Dia. inches= 2.217 Length= 7.8 to 9.0
2nd Step Dia. inches= 2.342 Length= 15.6 to 16.9
--- 3-Step Primary Pipe Specs --- ( Higher RPM Horsepower, possible TQ loss )
1st Step Dia. inches= 2.217 Length= 7.8 to 9.0
2nd Step Dia. inches= 2.342 Length= 7.8 to 8.4
3rd Step Dia. inches= 2.467 Length= 7.8 to 8.4

You're running gasoline I think?

Possibly try alcohol if so?

Glenn can you raise your compression (milling the heads possible)? Getting it up to 16:1 will help. Also looking more at your results i think a new intake will help. We arent to far apart on cams but im 38ci bigger and my 511ci peaks 200-300rpm higher.
