I keep my engine bay clean and painted up very nicely, yet over 50% of the time I end up leaving the hood down. Then I usually see people roll into the show, and rip the hood open practically before the cars even shut off only to be greeted by a greasy, unpainted mess.

I also had someone at a show poke their head into my 71, look at the dash, then proceed to tell me it's a 79. I corrected him and you would think I just smashed his hopes and dreams, I almost felt bad.
