... or has driven a couple laps of Nuerburgring with Tri-Power Pontiac power?(back in 1967)
... or has a Pontiac born the same year as Jim Wangers? (1926}

I would guess, on an inflation adjusted basis, those Mickey Thompson heads likely had the highest engineering and production costs.

Not really. He sold them complete for $1,000 per pair in 1963. Adjusted to 2015 for inflation that's only $7,770.

The reworked RA V heads on the 609 were reported to be over 30k that being said they were probably more.

Don's heads would have cost more being done at the same shop. It was what the customer wanted...V's with the pushrod out of the intake port. Don's heads are more design dependent with the cast in push place rod boss than Lynn's heads. Once again, it is all in what the customer wants.

If you take the push rod out of the hole........it's not a RA5. that was SILLY!
