I like the E heads as they can get some good power out of them and still make the engine recognizable as a pontiac engine.

I agree, and if you want you can make them look like a factory head you can.

the funny thing is the e heads are an almost exact copy of a stock 69-70 Ram Air IV head, enough so even NHRA recognizes them as a OE replacement for Super Stock

I believe they've won more races than any other head powering a Pontiac engine.

I would say the Tiger head has more wins, Wenzler 2nd, then the e head

Isn't this thread about canted valve heads? Fultons and Jacks in particular!

No, it is about a race between two Pontiac Guys.

I do not see Visner coming on the board running his mouth about how great his stuff is, or Jack (for that matter as related to Visner's heads).

I don't think this thread is about any kind of heads, I believe it was supposed to be about a race between Dick Fulton and Jack Pumphery, which probably isn't going to prove much other than who crosses the finish line first on whatever day they end up racing. Then it took a turn into talking about cylinder heads and a bunch of other subjects.

Okay lets start all over. Maybe we should start a poll. Who will win if they both show up?

... um, not sure about that one, cause Jack came right outta the gate trashin Fulton's new CVWhat heads, to the tune of 150hp more ??? ... remember ??? ...

... that's exactly why Jack challenged Fulton in the 1st place, it's always been about the heads ...

Does it matter Brian ? Two of 3 cv type heads are racing each other and most rather chat about and deflect attention to that aspect.

We have choices and shouldnt be "shamed" for not choosing the "popular" one.
If it doesnt fit a bow-tie, blue oval, or pentastar it shouldnt matter.

Pick your favorite(s) and do what you want with it. Someone will always come along and one up it eventually.

#62 D ports went high 6.90's in a door car 23 years ago. Same car/motor(406 stock block) with E-heads never bested that ET. Iirc it showed more mph. Took quite awhile before E-heads(wide ports no less) in a door car went sub 7's and bested the mph.

Ever wonder, how much further ahead we'd likely be, if we spent as much time improving our programs as we do bickering over bull crap???

Hope both have a clean race.

I'm not asking anyone a question. I'm being facetious! It's funny how things go in different irrelevant directions.

Your 434" stock block street motor looks close to dyno time. Sweet.
