But there have been a number of unscheduled gremlins, flat out failures, and uncooperative weather that have pushed our target dates back. Granted, we got a late start, but some of that couldn't be helped. I feel especially bad for Jim and Bill as they both had a lot riding on this project. Their help has been immeasurable though out.

Four hours of sleep per night has become the norm around here, so we are understandably burned out. Just this past week during a converter and ring & pinion swap, we found a cracked diff case. Thanks to Bill Krech for coming through with a spare, and Rob Senkyr for pitching in Thursday and Friday nights. Saturday our high zoot 16V lithium batteries took a dump at the track so we lost our test and tune window. It's been stupid stuff like this popping up at the most inopportune times. That left Sunday (today) to tow 4 hours to the only open Ľ mile track for a couple of time trials. Considering our mental and physical state, we decided to pull the plug. There is simply no reason to tow 14 hours to Norwalk with a car that is not ready. We will get this sorted out – just not this week.

Yes, we are frustrated and really bummed, but we realize that Norwalk will go on with or without us – we're really not a big deal. Good luck to all going and stay safe.

It's no problem Dick. I said in another post that it would/is a lot of hard work for cars of this caliber to get them squared away in such a short period of time.

Good luck to you and your car it has always been impressed with how nice your car looked and ran.

Dang, after being out of racing for 2 1/2 yrs I figured MR.Fulton would be ready to go racing.

4hrs of sleep a day sounds like a normal day for me for the past 5yrs.Sounds pretty normal to my 70year old Dad also for the past 10years.Dad feels "Lucky to get that much sleep"and is usually ready to rock & roll when he gets that much sleep......well after his cup of coffee of coarse

Good luck to Fulton & LJ in the future hope the rest of your seasons turnout better than you expected!

Sometimes it is hard to see the real person vs their Internet persona.

This is just the internets, for many it is just an opportunity to have some fun and a few laughs.

Oh I'm with ya it will happen! Just thought LJ showed some sportsmanship on that comment last year....

Since we can't trash talk anymore I'll just throw some words out here

Skull drag

LOL donkey

FULTON/good driver

LJ/feelings hurt

I don't think that race will be about how good a certain product is.....I think it will be more of a tuning experience and driver thing

... are you kidding me ??? ...
... after all of the war BS, how can you possibly feel that's an accurate statement ?? ...
... this race couldn't be MORE ABOUT THE PRODUCT BEING USED !!! ...

... PLEASE, if you are to provide solid valid content in this thread, you gotta do a better job of being on point and factual Jason ...

... please ...

Putting all your eggs in one basket huh? I like it. But if Fulton doesn't get down the track for one race are you going to hang it up for good? Well, there is no need for that. Jason is correct. This would be a heads up race, which often doesn't go as planned. Especially with N2O. Power certainly won't decide it. Power management, strategy and driving will.

... Um, my contention with Jason's statement was mainly about the sportsmanship comment, because Jack has showed nothing of the sort towards Fulton, or the engine in the car, or anyone attached to it ...

... And just about every race is decided on getting down the track first, but that is not what this race was ever about, Jack targeted Fulton because of the heads Fulton's running and who ported them, not because of Jack or Fulton's ability to manage power in a race ...

... And no, our eggs are not all in one basket either ...
