I noticed after all these years my 71 HO dipstick non ac is different from my 72.
Anyone know if one is right for each year or none?

I'd say the 'Use SE oil' would be correct.
The SE oil designation started in 1972 Model year. (1971 didn't have that designation) EDIT: The SE stick is for 1972, the other is for older engine. Thought you were asking about a 72 engine.

The top one is from my 71 and bottom in my 72.
Thanks for the responses and thoughts. Don't think it's a A body vs F body as Vince has the 71 A body with the bottom one?

No difference in the '71 non AC dipsticks between d port and roundport, the differences was when the roundport '71 had factory AC, then there was a different dipstick for A body and for F body.
