B/C you find a way spend every dollar you make either way.

$2.09 here, which includes an additional .10/gal. of tax effective 1/1/15. Undoubtedly another .10 will be added if prices remain low for any length of time.

For some it makes a difference in diet. Eating off the $1 menu vs healthy meals.
Only going to/from work vs maybe some extra spending, fueling the economy.
