Alvin, thx for posting the shot of the '64 GTO. I'm pretty sure that must be the Presley movie I was watching on TV years ago. As the movie ended Presley is at an intersection, I recall the camera pulling away from above and in the last instant I see what I swore was a '64 Lemans convertible going past Presley on the right. It was so quick (the shot, not the car), that I wasn't sure I saw what I thought I saw and for sure couldn't say it was a GTO.
So am I remembering correctly, is the shot of that GTO at the very end of that movie? |

That imdb page seems to indicate it was the same car. I did hear it was red at one time but had never seen photos with my own eyes. Mighty nice of Mr Mitchell to let Elvis drive it around a bit.
I was kind of hoping it was a second car - a kit - since I think that car is the most beautiful ever made. I'd come out of retirement to build one of those if a kit was available. K

Stingray shaped ornament on the side that is used on the 2015 Corvettes....looks identical in size and shape. |
