The change over to Ames was not handled correctly, and I'm quite sure that we lost members due to that, imo.

The old PY address just simply went away with no explanation. It was several days, (a week or more maybe?), before the old py address was linked to the new Maxperformance one. I'm betting that some of the less computer savy members just assumed that PY died and didn't bother searching for it like I did.

Another site that got sold: www.letstalksnow.com died and lost
most of its members when sold.
It was a popular snowplowing site.
