That's Ronnie Petersen sitting in the cockpit of the 1977 Tyrrell P34 Six-Wheeler. Ronnie was known as "SuperSwede", and was enormously popular with racing fans in his homeland of Sweden. Ronnie suffered severe injuries in a crash at the 1978 Italian Grand Prix, and would die the next day. Swedish racing fans were so distraught that interest in Formula 1 racing also died with Ronnie's death, and there would never be another Swedish Grand Prix after 1978.
The Tyrrell P34 Six-Wheelers ran two seasons (1976-1977). Mike
