What for the NHRA did not build his cage. I don't know if it was NHRA certified, but was probably built to SFI specs. I would definitely buy my chassis builder a nice dinner though.

True NHRA did not build the cage BUT they set up the rules that most of us go by (like we have a choice). They make sure the cars we race against are safe. Trust me NHRA is not on my Christmas card list!

NHRA is like law makers, they make the rules.

They don't do any of the Engineering, any of the Testing, None of the cost comes out of their pockets, The "taxes" (NHRA Membership, be it racers, track owners, etc does not come from them. All Medical Liabilities are are on the racers dime. They promote a race, period.
So you are correct George, you do not have a choice (except to not race). So get off my back when I choose not to play their game.
