Another 70 RAIV TA blue / std blue 4 speed. This picture was taken at the original owner's house and he also had the 67 427 Corvette sitting there I did not get to buy this car. For some reason every so often when I post these pictures it rotates them

My 71 - 4 spd, non air warehouse buy. All numbers matching and correct except for white seats (blue interior otherwise), parked in the warehouse for well over 22 years due to a dropped valve. 20+ years under Bat Poop was hard on the original paint. Pic 1 in the warehouse, pic 2 moving day, Pic 3 into the little barn behind my house.

Nice find. There is a white Formula hood behind the t/a in the first picture (stored incorrectly which causes the rear corners to break off). Was the car it goes to in the warehouse also?

Here’s some more info on the 71 TA - Build sheet and data plate. Std interior. The previous owner thought the car came with blue everything but the seats white, I believe they were swapped out at some point. Anybody have any NICE original blue std seats? Haven’t looked for a build sheet, was there a thread that said many of the birds around this year didn’t have them?
Answers to questions. Floors and trunk are great, quarter size rust hole at the bottom of the Left front fender, Dent in the driver’s door (GM skin came with the car as well as a ton of other parts), rust at bottom front of LH quarter by spoiler, Littler bigger than a quarter size rust hole just above the body line behind the wheel opening lip about half way up the quarter (just behind the tire) which seems like a strange place since the bottom rear of the quarter isn’t rusted. The white formula hood in the background had a TA scoop hole cut in it. The scrap yard didn’t mind the broken corners. This was the only bird in the warehouse. I did get the Quezel gold (Uck) 71 Judge as part of a different deal. |
