He claims YB on the front of the block (72 HO auto w/points) just the whole upper part of the HO is missing.

as said above, from the dates and numbers he scribbled from the block it does seem possible he has a YB block from an '72 HO (485428) and is missing all the other HO parts. A good pic of the engine code and EUN would be handy.

I am excited. Project HOsprit has begun. T400 Tranny off to best old guy tranny guy in valley who does all the hipo ones here. Meet engine builder Monday for HO roller plan and parts order. Carb is off to NJ Steve's guy. Estimate projection from 350/2V in HP: X3. The car nobody will understand is closer
 we will post vague, occasional, and cryptic updates as needed. wheee.

What are folks running for HO builds re pistons / rods? And Compression ratios? will be getting back with builder on his recommendations. 9.5 to 1 would be ideal if good pistons available. He mentioned Ross I believe. Running no ethanol premium regardless. Going good rods this time for insurance.

..did anyone see this car roll thru this weekend?...I believe it's been discussed here a time or three....looks like the seller got close to his original asking price of $37K? IIRC...

It was owned by a guy named Ron, and I had spoken to him a number of times about the car going back a year or so ago. It's hard to discuss price without seeing the car in person, but I had told him at the time his car has been advertised nationally for 18 months at 37.5K and had not sold, so I thought that the market was letting him know it was priced too high. I told him I would not get on a plane to come see the car if his price was firm. Without mentioning a specific amount he said the price was negotiable. It was hard for us to hook up due to his schedule (he traveled a great deal) and I eventually bought my Palomino Copper 70 Formula. I called him to tell him I had bought a car and wished him well. I spoke to him about 6 months later and he said he had sold the car. A short time later I saw it was going to be auctioned at Barrett Jackson. I always figured it to be a low 30's car. After the seller pays his 10% sellers fee his net gain would be just over 30K, so he may not have made any money on it. Cool car.

The seller will get 28k give or take after fees.
The price they list has the 10% buyers premium added to it so it sold for 31k |
