Very cool! I saw a very nice 61 Bonneville at the Kentucky POCI convention a few years back where the owner fabricated a hand brake similar to this setup. He used a column shift handle from another 61 to keep it stock appearing. Older gent that bought the car new and raced throughout the car's lifetime. Had a factory NASCAR 4 barrel intake. Real interesting ride. If you look closely in the first pic, you can see it inside the car. Early poor man's line lock.
