The new 180 gram vinyl records are expensive. No idea what the difference is as I only have one of the new type.... "Raising Sand" - Robert Plant and Allison Krauss. Haven't played it as I don't have my stereo and turntable set up. And mainly because I want to keep it Mint as I have the CD. Great sound from a combo of one who sang rock and one who sings country.

Ohhhh That is VERY nice. That will likely be very nice on vinyl.

But regarding your question: 180 or 200 g vinyl is no guarantee as it depends on who is doing the remaster and pressing. Some I've heard has been mediocre and much of it is spectacular.

Bumping this. Anyone else watch the Pilot last weekend? Was interesting time back to 1973 and earlier portrayal. Is new series BTW.
