Yep. I think I read somewhere that the 1000 hp Veyron needed the first 300 or so to get to about 170 mph, and the remaining 700 hp to get it up to the 254 mph top end.

I suggested installing A Pontiac V8,
Did not go so well with Most Chevy Only Guys.
