A pal of mine who is a long-time NASCAR fan told me that he remembers reading several articles about that Black and Gold Chevy that Yunick built. Apparently, NASCAR deemed it illegal in several respects and even confiscated the fuel cell, and he still cranked the car and drove it off the premises. Rumor had it that there was a 50' fuel line mounted under the seat. Anyone ever heard this story before?

That's because the remaining fuel was in the frame of the car.

Yeah, I know that's twisted.
Sadly, there is nothing comparatively outlandish that I've seen built for for future generations of gear heads to admire. Today it's all about the electronic offerings, not styling.
