Well, things are going kind of slow, but that's ok. Black Car is moving slow and I am not sure what other car Dave and I could disassemble if we finish all the Black Car parts well before the paint and body is done. Regardless, a little got done today - namely the A/C hoses, compressor fittings, and muffler. They look really good. I soaked the compressor fitting ( I'm sure it has a name, but I don't know it) in Evaporust and then cleaned it on the wire wheel and cleared it. The muffler got blasted and painted with Inline Tube Stainless Steel finish. The hoses are generic, but I used BrakeKleen to remove the markings. The muffler insulation is pipe insulation I bought from Zoro Tools that is dead nuts on, and much better than the crap piece I bought from The Parts Place.
The engine also has a new water pump that is the correct part number and pretty close in terms of the date code. Not perfect, but better with a April 19, 1971 date code for a Dec/Jan build car. I found it on eBay as an old NOS refurb unit, and OPH pulled it apart and installed new seals. He does great work.
Here's a few pictures.
