The 1976 Tyrrell P34 6-wheelers were all blue. In 1977, First National City Travelers Checks was a main sponsor, and the Tyrrells added a white conning tower to the famous Tyrrell blue paint scheme.

The 1977 season was not as good for the 6-wheelers as the 1976 season was, and due to lack of tire development by Goodyear, the Tyrrell Team returned to traditional 4-tire cars for 1978.

These two 6-wheelers brought a LOT of interest to F1 in America in 1976, along with the famous 1976 James Hunt/Niki Lauda feud.

I think I posted these way back in this thread, but it's worth posting again....

This is the Lockheed factory in Burbank, CA, before and after the attack on Pearl Harbor in December 1941. Fearing a Japanese attack, they totally camouflaged the entire plant to be virtually undetectable from the air. Fake trees, landscaping, even phony houses.

Before

After

You know there are two 1938 fords. one is a standard, and the other is a deluxe. The car you are referring to is a 1938 ford deluxe. Compare you photo to this;
