Geez, thinking my former way of jamming the cam lobe against the block valley is safer than that TDC stop.

For a complete engine assembly: indian rope trick on cyl 2, or remove Converter dirt shield and jamb your favorite long steel tool into the converter bolts or in my case the flexplate holes.

Wonder how other brands do this? flex ring Starter teeth?

We use a 3/8" thick steel ring bolted to the balancer ( pulley bolts ) with a handle welded to it long enough to reach the frame rail. With four grade 8 bolts, you can torque the balancer to spec's or undo it without getting into the bell housing. It take a lot of force to sheer 4 5/16" grade 8 bolts.
