Default pitman arm hole

Tom, I believe the pitman arm has cerations inside the hole, while the idler arm has threads. The idler arm is cerated to fit on the steering box output shaft without turning. An idler arm has threads so it will turn with the steering link. Looks like Pete has a pitman arm for a manual steering application.
