I have my line snaked every two years. Mostly for maintenance. I get roots in mine too. They told me it doesn't mater what kind of lines you have you can get roots growing in them.

I done this job my self and it just not worth the hassle. Would rather hire it out. They are in and out in a hour and no mess and no breaking my back on that snake. As you found out it cost more to have the camera done. Cost more if need more line added too.

I have heard that root killer stuff can kill your trees. Not sure.
