It is Hard to find a young man today that is into the old iron AND has a work ethic. I am sure that he will take great care of the newly re-acquired family member 'Atoll White'.

Be happy with the Mustang shirt! At least it is a U.S. made Muscle car. My son wears a Subaru shirt.

Congrats on the wedding too Don. Glad to see that you are settling down.
I KNOW! You believe that? Thanks for the kind words buddy. We're bringing the ole girl to Norwalk this year. We'll have to go for "Beat ride"

Great photo, Mike! Love that Square-shouldered bias tire look!

Note the body-color front spoiler.

That can't be a road test photo. Hood pins? Straight up new York plate? Painted front spoiler?

Yeah, I seem to remember that article from an early 80s 'Hi-Performance Cars' Magazine - or one of those old ARGUS Publications. They found some sketchy guy with a Ram Air III Judge and a GTO Ram Air IV car and he stood by while they "test drove" them. It could even be '79. I have the mag, just gotta dig it out. Even in the late 70s & 80s it was a cheap magazine and they shot a lot of stuff in black & white.

As long as we are on the subject, here's a fun little video of a sweet Orbit Judge...

Found it, "1983 - Modern Day Periodicals" "America's Best Musclecars" Martyn L. Schorr and Joe Oldham are in this so it was a Hi-Performance Cars Magazine Variant. First page of the article states, "We put the word out that we wanted to drive a real 1970 GTO for this special publication". A guy named Guido Marsala responded "a specialist in unrestored sixties and seventies supercars" with his '70 Judge and '70 455 4-speed cars. So cars were 12-13 years old at the time...

Thank you for posting that! Yes, it was from a later issue. Makes you wonder how original the cars were when they were already 12-13 years old. I spoke to one guy that was an original owner of a 1970 LS6 Chevelle, and within the first 5 years, it had the engine replaced under warranty, was repainted by the dealer due to a crash, and had the wheels swapped out for some Cragars. Yet he said that very car is labeled as "all original, original paint, original engine" today.

Mike

My 69 GTO hardtop has every bill since new and it isn't pretty (especially considering the owner was an older woman and she lived in Tucson Arizona) with endless repairs in the first 3 or 4 years including but not limited to...

carb (twice), battery (3), starter (2), alternator (2), water pump, timing chain, radio, 8 track (2), power antenna, fuel sender, rad (weld on tank failed), clock, hideaways, muffler (from a backfire due to bad carb), brakes, AC (two freon leak repairs) and of course tires etc

I just traded in my 2012 Suburban for a new one and after four years here is the equivalent list...

replace one daytime running light bulb (last week)

They don't make them like they used to!?!? Thank God!
