The first pic is showing a Trans Am with the Goodyear Steel belted radial, the second has a Goodyear Steel Belted Radial on the rear and a Uniroyal Steel Belted Radial on the front, and the 1980 TTA is wearing a Polysteel on the front, and a Goodyear Steel Belted Radial on the rear. So much for continuity...

Hello and happy Labor Day weekend.
I just managed to visit Kelsey this weekend and he shared with me that we are going to have an increase in price for the performance group. The increase will be $10/ tire. Most of these cars are out of UV... That kills tires. Give me a call.. 816-654-3400.

Just curious...
I bought my '77 TA in '82 and found out later after I flipped it that the tires on it were Goodyear with what they called a "Flexten Cord"...and the guy I sold the three good tires to said they were an experimental design and he couldn't find one anywhere. A dealer hooked him up with a tire with matching lettering but it was not the Flexten tire...and was $136...a lot for a tire in 1982. Just curious if anyone has any insight on this tire. They sure did stick!

The flexten cord was actually made out of Armid fibers... Does that sound familiar?? Try Kevlar!! The tires were introduced in 1978 for the Corvette Pace Car... That size tire for the Pace Car-- 255/60/15 is being reproduced.
