Just kidding. Do you have some early shorty NOS handles?
BTW: Since this is working so well, I do also need one more of these. 916814 2.585 All F LAMP (clear) 2 1970 1972 2-56 ![]() ![]() .

I never did buy a pair of the longer newer style, but I did see a few for sale here and there.
Otherwise, I'll have to work with these. My originals. Not terribly pitted, but I think they need to go to the chrome shop. They have a casting number on the back side of each - and which side they go on - which is helpful for me.... 9724318 RH 9724319 LH ![]() ![]() .

I think the change came in 75. Longer handles used until 75. Short handles are 75-81

Sounds about right. I would have likely bought some if they were the same length.
This old car wasn't in too bad of shape. It was probably fluff-able at one point and then it must have just slipped a little too far, but at least the guy saved nearly everything. These are the original under dash foams for the upper vent duct to cowl flaps. Not NOS, but not too bad for what they are. Not positive of the first part number since I don't find a reference to it yet, just what the assembly manual called out. The LH side foam is the smaller of the two. 3973734 - RH SEAL 477627 9.260 All F exc. A.C SEAL, side vent duct LH 1970 1972 9-21 ![]() .

I did go for some newer strikers, but at least they have the separate collar on the striker neck. I got a third one for that rear door....*chuckle*
20151275 10.569 F, X STRIKER, F&R/D LOCK AR 1976 1981 10-6 ![]() These are the screws for the door latch. Notice they have just a small amount of a white putty around the underneath of the head. I'm not going to try to dig up the part number of these. But, they are NOS!!! Funny.... ![]() I also bought some door cranks. $15.00 each is marked on them. Probably got them for $13/ A buddy of mine runs Evergreen Muscle Car and I got a number of parts from him, too. They are the 20322800. People are paying what for these now? ![]() ![]() Wiper blades. ![]() .

Well, I don't have an extra 917399 in a box, but I do have a NOS spare one in one of those funky old cardboard sleeve packages.
I see I need another 917402. Got one of those to trade? |

I guess a high res picture might suffice, but it would need some way of determining the X & Y to see if it has distorted much... My day job is all about scale, or maybe I should say crappy plans that are completely not to scale...

On the door cranks 20322800, are these the same cranks for a 1969 GTO? They look the same. If they are in fact used on both A body and F body cars which is easier to find? I bought repos, not overly happy and would like to find NOS ones.
Thanks.

Here's some on eBay that are for sale. See, I'm glad I only paid about $26 for the pair of door handles I have. This is crazy! http://www.ebay.com/itm/NOS-GM-Clear...JXhsRC&vxp=mtr At least it is free shipping.... Here's the only other thread where the newer part number was mentioned. Norwood is saying they repop a very correct one for Corvette of the older style? http://forums.maxperformanceinc.com/...light=20322800 .

I was comparing my one older 9718137 to the 20322800 and they really are a different shape and the newer one is actually longer, too. If I caliper it from the center of the rings on the chrome part to the center of the rings on the plastic part in a neutral position (not trying to influence the knob from center) I get 3 1/2" on the old one and 3 37/64" on the newer one. Plus the arc is steeper like was mentioned in the other thread. Subtle details. .

I was looking at my dual snorkel and realized I didn't have any ThermAC at all. What to do? I thought of Mr. ThermAC himself and sent him a quick note to get his thoughts - what does he do but send me back a link to this little GEM, which I promptly snatched up. I really like the instructions for any of this stuff to add to the archives. Looks like the paperwork is dated 6/70. I'll have to wait a few days for it to arrive, but it should be a welcome addition.
I Thank You, kind sir! http://www.ebay.com/itm/142051152520...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT .

13.5 x 21. My buddy should be back from Cape Cod/R.I. in a couple of weeks and he has a bigger scanner we can probably scan it in two sections and stitch it together.

Take it to a blue print shop to have it scanned. No one is going to have a printer that can print it to scale anyway unless they have a plotter for CAD drawings.
BTW ....I still feel slightly aggrieved by your display of NOS wealth, but that is slightly offset by the unlimited access I have to plotters. |

If that doesn't help, I'd bet if you talk to your therapist and really describe how you feel, they might be able to prescribe something.
