The factory 15x7" rims have 4.25" BS - and work fine with many tire sizes.

A 15x8" rim would need 4.75"BS to put the wheel and tire in the same space.

Bottom line, it's a combination of wheel diameter and width combined with the tire diameter and width that will determine if the combo will work.

I run 235/60/15's front and 255/60/15's rear on 15x7's with 4.25"BS on my '64.

Your results may vary...

thanks for the imfo. just wanted to know so i dont have to keep ordering stuff. so you can use 4.50 back space on rear. one guy says he uses 4.25. just dont want it to rub. use to have a 64 gto. bought it from a friend that had it 33 years. we had it 6.5 years. pro street car with 455-400 turbo- dana 60 rearend. we had a blast. its now in minnesota. miss it. we have a 67 gto now and cant wait to start. keep pontiac alive. thanks so much. tom
