Default Lucas Oil Nationals

Well, there's a national event & a couple of div races, this weekend. The national event is at BIR.

Looks like 4 Pontiac powered Stockers--Randi Lyn Shipp, Bradley Koivisto, Ronald Prince, & Sam Reuland.

Brad Koivisto won his I/SA class with his '74 GTO.

There are 2 Super Stockers. Greg Meyer is qualified #2, and Bill Rink is #6.

Both cars should pick up their class wins.

There's a div race on the East coast & the West coast.

At Brainerd, Sam Reuland survived 2 rounds of Stock, and Greg Meyer made it thru 2 rounds of SS. So, they'll get to race on Sat.

Out on the West coast, Brad Burton tripped the red light, with a -.001, to lose the Stock final, in the div 6 race. This was a make up race for an earlier div 6 race, that was rained out. So, there's more racing to come out there, this weekend.

Default Div 6

At the div 6 race, Brad Burton qualified #2, with a 1.013 under 10.537, in his D/SA '72 Formula. This qualifying is for the 2nd race of the weekend.

Also, the rained out S/ST final, from the Northwest Nationals, will be run at this event. Doug Jones has a chance to win this one, with his '69 Bird.

So, good luck to all the Pontiac racers this weekend !

Default Div 1

On the East coast, it looks like there are 2 Pontiac powered Stockers entered. There's Todd Hoven, with his '68 Bird, and Michael Moyer, with his '78 Bird. I'm not familiar with that 2nd gen Bird. Just assume it has Pontiac power.

Unfortunately, the Stock & SS Pontiacs were eliminated, at Brainerd, in round 3.
