If the thermostat is working and If the upper hose is cold and If the coolant is flowing through the upper hose ... the where is the heat going? By the way, I assume the autometer sensor is feeding an autometer temp gauge. If it is feeding the 55 Pontiac gauge it is most likely reading wrong.
