i want to use 15-7 rims in front---15-8 in rear. 235-60-15 front tires 245-or-255-60-15 in rear. i have 2 inch lowering springs in front and one inch in rear. the wheels i have found our with 4.00 in front and 4.50 in rear backspacing. will this combo fit my 67 gto without problems. if not then what can i use so im not buying the wrong stuff. maybe ill use a 17-8 in wheel in rear. anyway someone has got to know if this will be or not to be. thanks

Factory 15x7's have 4.25" BS.
I run 235/60/15's on the front of my lowered '64 GTO (with disc brakes - which widens the track about .25") and clearance is tight. On the rear I run 255/60/15's on the same wheels and everything clears (12 bolt rear - about 1" wider overall). If I were you, I would be looking for 15x7's with 4.25 - 4.5" BS. For the 15x8's - add .5" (1" wider needs .5" more BS to put wheel/tire in the same position). There are plenty of wheels available with that backspacing. |

so your telling me to look for 4.25 front spacing and the rear 4.50 or 4.75. all the wheels ive looked at have 4 to 4.25 front and 4.50 in the rear for what i want. tires you use are great- do you have any clearance issues at all. i do have a ten bolt rear stock.

If it were me, I would look for 4.25 on a 7" rim for the front and 4.75 on an 8" rim on the rear, minimum.
You might get by with 4 and 4.5 - but you might not. Lots of variables that can happen from car to car over 50 years. That and you've lowered the car - which throws in additional variables. Most quality wheels will give you multiple BS options in each size. |

I also run 235/60's on front with 4.25BS .... not sure I would risk 4" BS .... Rears I use 4.5" on 8" rim... no issues.... 245/60's
