I think 2007 1/2 was when they changed from the 2.7 I5 to the 3.0 V-6 CDI engine. The 3.0 is a weak, delicate little engine. Very expensive and difficult to work on. The 2.7 I5 was much more of an industrial engine and much tougher. About all you can do is use fuel additive to improve the lubricity of the fuel in the next dozen tanks of fuel or so. Keep an eye on oil consumption and hope for the best. There really isn't anything else to do at this point other than put it up for sale. If it's not making any unusual noises and not burning oil, I would just drive it and keep an eye on the mechanicals.
