The ad seems legit to me as does the car. I think he may be an older fella, a bit out of touch with technology, and with few ebay transactions, a little under-skilled with his salesmanship. As far as his English, perhaps he's more French-Canadian than Canadian-French. Hope his French is better than his English, which could be the case. Car is supposedly tagged in US, although the plates say otherwise. Renald Blouin sounds French to me.
From the vintage, pre-repaint pics, it looks like the car may have never had a nose bird? Super neat car and combo. |

Please verify the scam statement before trying to ruin a great car...
That is what I would consider a great optioned original owner car. CC sandalwood deluxe killer, add factory 455 HO, spoiler, posi, gauges and cool history!

I guess I'm just a cynical old curmudgeon. :-)
If it is real, it is a beautiful car with great history. He says in the ad it is "licensed in the US". The big problem is this: unless it is properly registered in the United States currently, and has a Florida registration (where he says it is located), the car will have to go back to Canada and then through the proper Customs procedures to legally acquire the paperwork to return to the US for registration. I went through all sorts of insanity with NJ DMV and Customs when I brought the black Formula back in 2012 from British Columbia. Last edited by njsteve; 11-24-2016 at 11:30 AM. |

I know the owner and car...it is legit and a very nice car. One of the previous owners on my HO saw the car and met the owner at a car show last year in Ft. Meyers. He gave me Renald's contact info and we conversed quite a bit about the similarities and differences between our cars. His English is as was posted, very French Canadian. He winters in Naples where he keeps the car. He told me he raced in NHRA stock class (E or F S/A) for a couple years shortly after buying it and the the rebuild he mentions was the one the transformed it into stock class status and hasn't been rebuilt since. The cloth sandalwood is really rare and looks great with Canyon Copper. He really ordered it right with the spoiler and RA.
