It's cars like this and guys like him that made me embarrassed to have anything to do with the whole musclcar scene in the late 70 and early 80's. We have gotten so used to having so many quality restored musclecars around in the last 25 years that we forget that back then most of these cars on the street were jacked up, hopped up, f***ed up ugly pieces of crap.

In 1980 in Montreal 90% of the musclecars on the road were deathtraps that should have had their plates revoked; way too loud with cheap rusted out exhaust usually dumping ahead of the axle, unmaintained deadly brakes and spewing burnt oil and unburned gas not to mention rotten bodies and frames held together by bondo and the parking brake cable!

I ought to know, I had a few myself ;-)

Yup, traction bars, frames, diffs and frames painted bright yellows or greens often with lighting to boot. Of course this paint being applied directly onto crusty metal made it extra classy!
