X10^^ He does not get it. Curt is no a street strip car. He runs every weekend during race season. Waiting 2-3 months for parts can keep you out a seanson or so.
I can't stand they guys who are so brand specific. I like the diversity. |

Get used to engine swaps, just about every ford coupe has a chevy in it! It has been going on for a very long time. And he just told two guys on this board there cars suck, he would spit on the ground when he sees a chevy in a Pontiac, and if I said good job I can suck lemons. LOL Just because someone does not want to wait for parts and spend twice as much on a brand specific motor, does not make them a bad guy. So good luck to Curt and his new set up. The guy has been contributing here and helping this board for a while, now he sucks?? |

While i agree with some of what he said,i think the rest is just over the top ranting. Lol Being on the outside, the parts availability of pontiac aftermarket parts is worse than i had thought, its know wonder people switch. I suspect big chief went with the cv heads because they seem to be the next step up,and available. IDK. You would think vendors would be listening, but instead are comfortable selling to current customers, since there is zero profit to be made in producing blocks, although selling 1500 or more with no profit margin,is a helluva charity. Its understandable why curt and others have to move on,its too bad they have too,but i never implied they are bad people for doing so. When you have a Pontiac engine and bored with racing, its time to go Hot Rodding. I would love to have a 41 willys or a 32 ford with a turbo pontiac. |

![]() From what I can figure Curt was reluctant to go with CV1's. And thats his call to make not mine. Maybe in the future, then again maybe not. |

Read what what Jim quoted, he called him a douche for that paragraph. I thought Jim was being kind, I was thinking a different "d" word.
Regardless, Merry Christmas and good will towards men!
