Unless you are in a big class ( which the car cost's huge money) the pay out is small. Odds are not with you going round after round. you have a 50 50 on a grudge race. Don't get me wrong I like bracket racing, a grudge race that you have money on really gets your heart pounding. Yes Richie is bad ass and cam build a hell of a motor!!!! |

I don't know the highest pay outs on a bracket race. I believe Jeff Verdi won North of $200,000 two years in a row at a single race. That's considerably more payout than I've ever seen at a no-prep or grudge race. It would also be a heck of a lot cheaper to build and maintain Jeff's car than a high end grudge/no-prep car capable of winning that kind of money. Another thing to take into account is money paid out by manufacturers to a winning car with their sticker on it. I'm sure they won't make a pay out to the winner of a race that's ran in an industrial park .Unless you're doing this at a pro level your not going to be able to quit your day/night job. I also disagree you have a 50/50 chance on a grudge race. More times than not a bet won't be placed unless a racer feels he has the better odds of winning.
