Since I've never restored a car before, I'm not sure that car is worth saving no matter what the history. Asking 15 grand seems crazy. Would someone actually buy that car at that price? It looks as if the guy found the car out in some field and though he could make a buck. Too many auctions on TV misleading these clowns I think.

If it's a real Formula 455 and that's the original engine in it, then it's probably worth saving, but not at $15K starting price. Those were rare cars. It's not like it would be difficult to send the VIN off to PHS and get the paperwork on it again.

I wonder how bad the rust really is? From the pics I'm going to guess there's a lot of rusty badness that *isn't* pictured.
