Whether 8.2 Pontiac 10 bolt, '68-70 BUICK 8.2 10 bolt, Type "O" Olds 10 bolt, & all Chevy 12 bolt whether factory 3R pinion flange or spicer 1310 (will need adaptor Ujoint), ALL for this application, will use the same exact length stock driveshaft. 55 3/8", center to center, with the medium length ('67-75) turbo 400 yoke. Throw into the mix, the shorty (Seville) style yoke, or one of the really long yokes like used in a '70 T/A with T400, that will throw off measurement.

With a 8.5 A-body rear swapped in, will need oem driveshaft to be cut down 7/8", so 54.5" center to center length with correct med length T400 yoke for '68-72 GTO with T400 or big output shaft Muncie. Myself & 2 others in N Texas pioneered the 8.5 A body rear swap in the early 90's, have had over 5 dozen oem driveshafts cut down for that swap, & have parted to the ground over 400 68-72 GM Abodys including many Olds & Buicks. If they have had nice driveshafts in them, they have been measured, marked with paintpen, & made it to the driveshaft barrels.
