Kurt,
Boy, it really makes it easy to get the engine/ trans in the bay with no front sheet metal! I also have to remove the radiator support to R and R; how did you attach the other end of the straps from the fenders? Ceiling studs? Also, any pictures of the support modification from 70 to 71? |

Yes I used Porch Swing hooks drilled into the rafter studs....Worked like a charm. I don't have any further photos for the support..do have the top removed from the 71 core...should be a cakewalk from here on the core....I will post photos when we get it welded up..will do that when it goes to paint.... Will get the car running next. I will post photos of the core as it is now.... Thanks WC

Kurt,
Your car is going to be awesome when you are done. Thanks for the photo of the fender strap supports and radiator support modifications. Can't wait for the video of the engine running in your car! |

It went very well. I would suggest this path for anyone that is not restoring a #'s matching car....as you can tell I don't have the complete front end on the car, but I feel it will work just fine!... ![]() Thanks for the compliment on the engine! Yesterday, I finished up the exhaust installation. Sure looks sweet with PYPES 2 1/2" stainless exhaust. Can hardly wait to fire her up for some sound...

She is now down on all fours....
![]() Finished up under her. Tightened all the front end and installed the cotter keys. Adjusted the QA1 Motorsports front suspension with the spanner wrench... ![]() Installed the Corvette Rally Wheels to get me by until I get her to Hubbard GM Center for a front end alignment. Then it is off to paint for a fresh coat of 1989 Camaro Blu....

Time to bleed the brakes....Did the Bench Bleed of the MC...Now that she is running, time to bleed the calipers....This pump seems to work pretty well on getting the fluid from the MC to the calipers....I will ask my son Clint to help finalize the bleeding of all air in the system....
![]() Great part of using this pump first is that it'll find any leaks in the system....
