The fine points for me are those inside corners where i've had the repop skin coating pull away from the corners, especially in the AC Vent openings. The repop i got didn't clip into the dash's AC side vents well at all.

I agree...the devil is in the details for sure. I was worried about the quality of the reproduction units so that is why I decided to spend the extra money to restore my original piece. I tested the fit and it snaps in there nicely. Looks naked in there with the bare interior.

For some reason, my cell phone lightens the color when it zooms in. It's really quite dark black in real life. Being a convertible car....I wanted the dash to look as good as possible. Getting ready to paint the metal portion of the dash soon....need to find the correct sheen and black color though....
