BJ - Looks like you had a fun weekend as well. You need to get a videographer to record the action sometime.

Bruce - Yeah, it takes a fine touch. Glad they sell the crush sleeves two to a pack because we needed one practice round.

Just wondering is the body, hood, fenders, valence, and front bumper painted yet? Kinda need that done before the reassembly begins...

Ya think Mike?

Hood and front fenders got black undercoat yesterday, so everything is ready for final blocking and then color except the body shell. It needs one more prime and blocking, but should be in black undercoat by Friday.

Hood looks much better there than it did in the loft of my barn!

The rear axle is all back together and only getting the springs installed remains. I had hoped to get that done yesterday, but it turns out DR Camaro sent the wrong lower spring pads. I'm really happy with how it looks, and look forward to having it finished and checked off the list..

The accessory belts are also now installed. The AC belt is an NOS GM. For the alternator and PS I ended up buying Gates belts that look like the originals. I used a 3M stripe remover to get the Gates labeling off the belts. Going back to the separate thread here on correct belt sizes and part numbers, et cetera, there is no way a 52.25" belt would work on the 80 amp alternator. I tried a 52" and there wasn't enough adjustment in the idler takeup to get it tight. I used a 51" and have maybe one-third of the idler adjustment range left.

Here's a few pics...
