Some of the rustiest cars I've ever seen have been in Florida. Must be the combo of the salt air and high humidity down there. Cars along the coast up here don't do that.

My parents drove down to Miami for vacation in the late 60s. They took their 63 Riv, and he stated that when he came back, the car had light surface rust on the roof, trunk, and hood. Said it seemed to happen overnight.

Some parts of Florida probably need to have cars waxed and oiled weekly. I wonder about Hawaii sometimes - beautiful, but it might be quite hard to keep a classic.

One thing that kills me is when people park their cars in dirt or grass up here. I'm not sure if I'd opt for a garage with a dirt floor over a slab of pavement outside - probably take the slab.
