I didn't realize that you could buy any rebuilt Pontiac V8 for $1,600.

... or has driven a couple laps of Nuerburgring with Tri-Power Pontiac power?(back in 1967)

My guess is that they don't really have a good 265 core engine in stock. I'm wondering if you can actually buy 265 shelf pistons.

If not, just the pistons would cost $500 or so.

But hey, there might be some sort of shelf piston/rod combo from another brand that will work.

"Core charge $250". That would still be under $1,900. But, yeah, who knows if they actually have a good core.
