Great. I will get the cheaper ones.
Can the oil dripper rail be retained with poly lock nuts?

I've used oil drippers before with poly locks. Usually I double gasket the valve covers for clearance.
Oil drippers aren't really a necessity anyway. GM went away with those on most engines in late 60's and early 70's, not to mention most people back then were hotrodding with aftermarket covers, and none of those have drippers either.
I have several examples here running without the drippers for many years using full roller setups and ball/socket setups. So if you feel the need to remove them, it's not an issue.
