It was one of those Friedberger youtube videos - Engine masters dyno testing. I remember that result was a surprise to them. I don't trust my memory too much these days which is why I suggest one does their own research.

There's always a compromise when using a 'carb' intake for an EFI conversion. As I recall, back in the 90s when I was first doing EFI conversions, that for port injection systems, single plan intakes were favored.
Dual plane intakes work better for TBi type conversions, for the same reasons, up to a point anyway, when using a carb. The runners are designed to increase port velocity at lower RPMs, and improve atomization. Only time I can think of when a single plane in an EFI conversion might cause issues is when it's a borderline config between a single and dual plane. Extreme example is if you put a victor intake on a stock 326 2bbl and expect a performance gain type scenario. With a TBi type conversion, all the same principles apply as if with a carb. Port injection, batch or sequential, you can be more selective with intakes, and take advantage of certain aspects, and tune to overcome some of the usual drawbacks. (Like low speed velocity) Try not to overthink it. It's very safe to use a TBi setup if you have knowledge of carb tuning, there's a distinct crossover of theory/design. If you learn the difference between TBi and port (theory & design), you have all the bases covered. If it's a fairly conservative build, you should be fine with either. Tuning can compensate for minor design oversights. .

You could go port EFI or TB (cap the injector bungs) with this one. This was based of the Holley Street Dominator when Kenny Brewer (Ace) was running Pacific Performance Racing.

I believe Tom V makes the bung caps, he probably still has some in stock!
Thing is, you still want to match the intake type/design to the cam/use intended for the car. .
