I'm sorry for my ignorance here, I've followed this specific thread from the start. I do more reading than posting. Respectfully, what's happened to Glenn In reading the last few post I am assuming the worst.

Whether we ever find out or not, I do hope he rests in peace. He had more than his fair share of troubles, but he had a good heart at his core.

I have to admit that although I never knew Glenn personally, and have only met a few PY members in the flesh, I find it interesting how "wrapped up" or "entangled", or strangely, "emotionally" invested (at some level) I can get reading some of the post within this forum and even within the the GP pages too. Indeed, the stories of the individuals who owned and own these cars is an integral part of our hobby and community.

Glenn's therapy was his cherished Lucy Blue '72. I appreciated the photo's he shared as I'm about 75% done putting my father's '72 TA back together. Glenn and a whole bunch of you have been instrumental in helping me get to this point - A simply "thank-you" doesn't seem to do justice to those who freely share their intellectual know-how, but never-the-less, a "Thank-you" is all that can be offered. I could not do it without your help.

I think it's a nice gesture that the new owner's of Glenn's "companion" have considered to post their progress of the car's restoration within this thread.

RIP Glenn.

Scratch the last post. We jumped the gun forsay. All is good now and the shaker assembly will be reunited with the car so one less task to worry about and we can move on to more good stuff soon.

I said it before and will say it again.

I would have grabbed that complete running 72 TA LB with Black deluxe guts for 15k and made some good money selling it after paint and tweaking. That's ,even before I knew it was Glenn's old car too.

Not sure what you and your buds plans are for car. But, a even better price than expected and the gifts keep coming is a great start...I might be a little jealous, but deals never fall in my lap.

I got some news today regarding the shaker assembly that Glenn had for the car and dissapointingly I am losing confidence that it will return to the car though we still have hope that it will be sent home to either us or Glenns family. In the mean time if anyone has any correct dual snorkel air cleaner housings for sale, please shoot me a PM as we may need a back up plan for one. On another note, we removed the fenders and I will begin work on the brackets soon and plan to post pics as we progress.

I put a little 3m panel bond between the inner and outer skins on the passenger side of the hood and squeezed everything tight back to where it should be and let set up for 24 hours then removed the clamps and sanded the edge so it now looks correct. The top side had a bunch of surface rust here and there so I sandblasted carefully to remove the heavier rust and primer. I DA sanded with 80 grit. Next I will hit it with a metal wash, fix some dents and epoxy prime the top side.

Ok. I did find that Glenn had posted that he sent the shaker and air cleaner assembly out for work. Earlier tonight I was contacted via PM so that mystery has been solved. Hopefully It works out and we can get the parts back to the car.
