All '64 Tempests got 14x5 wheels except for the GTO, it got 14x6 wheels.
Tire size varied by Model and engine. The Safari Wagon got 7.00x14 Blackwall Tires as Standard equipment with the 6 cyl or V8 engine. 7.00x14 Whitewalls were optional. 7.50x14 Blackwalls were the Oversize option for the 6 cyl or V8 Safari Wagon and you could also order the 7.50x14 Whitewalls as an option. The OE 14x5 Wheels carried Olds p/n 383178. I am not aware of any use of a 14x5.5 wheel for the '64 Tempest. |
