...Well with just a few good jaunts under the "Belt" looks like the head gasket isn't going to cooperate,
I have a replacement "BEST" Graphite on order, but may just try a re-torque in the meantime. I'll let you know what I find.

Well I took the week off to re-connect with my daughter who returned from Rome.
Today I decided I would make an attempt to check and re-torque the head bolts. Since my Gasket isn't in yet I figured WTH, it was a crap shoot but what's another 4 hours tearing it up Sadly my efforts did not yield satisfaction and I will lift the head again ![]() The only good thing is no machine work this go round just my time and back. I'm at a loss other then to suspect the alignment dowels, even though we cut the OE down But thinking they may be the issue. I plan to just use a set of the 1/2" I bought like I should have the first time However I can also address the manifold paint again so what the hey I'll Be Back!

Hey Jeff, When I painted my intake & exhaust manifold I did it in the Duplicolor High Heat engine blue. As it heated up the exhaust turned a nice silver. Still looks good 6 weeks later.... Just a thought !
