I thought the heads were originally based on the "Twisted Wedge" Ford head. I know the first ones had Ford exhaust.

Lets try and keep this from being sh!t storm. I will try if you do the same. They may not be my favorite head but I want Chief to do well like everyone else.

The twist you are seeing is the port twisted to match to side cant of the valves. Pretty normal for canted valve heads.
Im sure Bill will correct me if im wrong.
